So the interactive wave map has sunday looking like big waves on the way... the left hand column has it flat... I guess they just have not updated yet? either one I suppose??
I see flat on the left side maybe ankle high on the map. Also, if you see big swell a week out, don't get your hopes up. These swells have not held up in months, and rarely do predicted that far out. Atleast not on the day it is predicted.
To answer your question.. I think the wave maps update before the "forecast". Should be able to confirm that in about 15 min
it's only Monday, it will change alot before Sunday. I more intrigued with the high winds they seem to project...
I'm totally quitting my job for this swell. I don't even work sundays but better safe than sorry. Anyone have any tips on how to wax up my gun? circles or x's? Lately i've just been using yankee candles but that is getting expensive. Ever tried more than one leash? I like idea of a back-up. LIke one on each leg? Same with wetsuits, im planning to coat my entire body in vaseline, then put on a wetsuit, then coat that in vaseline, then put on my second and final wetsuit. I wonder if I can have a custom roy stuart board made in time? Maybe two asymmetricals, one for rights, one for lefts. If any girls have double D's we can carpool to my break.
Circles with x's in them Lee, c'mon...then a coating of vasoline on top of that. ***and Patagonia 7 mil booties, how could I forget?!?
naw man I'm going to need like 15mil. Maybe two pairs of 7mil's and a good coat of vaseline in between.
I hear ya...I was just thinking like a half day sesh, forgot the part about you quitting your job...dude it's gonna be an EPIC weekend!
Yeah, thanks jinxy. Lee, I go tripple redundant on my leashes. I haven't lost a board yet, even on tsunamis. I also use velcro on the bottom of my booties and on my chest, just don't forget to put the velcro on your surfing board too.
don't mean to harp on this but the interactive map appears to show a swell filling in by 1pm sunday and the report says flat... what gives?
Have to pay attention to the white arrows indicating swell direction. If they are pointing away from land, it's probably going to be flat in the forecast.
