    FLYERS v. Habs

We shall see. Regardless, it should/could be a good series.

But in the meantime..."Take off, eh, ya hoser." (your "blue shirt"must be reversible, eh?)

Hell yea flyers! I'm beside myself with what they've accomplished so far, and then basically putting the team that got rid of the Caps and Penguins to shame in game 1...

I can't imagine any other team in the league accomplishing what they've managed to pull off. Hopefully tonight will be another great showing on their part.

I'm a Caps fan, so I don't have a dog in the fight. But every year the Flyers minor leaguers from the Phantoms come to Stone Harbor and it is a big deal. So I guess I'll be hoping the Flyers can comeback.

hate to rain on the parade, but i'm going for chicago in this one. they've played so good this year i wanna see them take this. as a die hard devils fan who bleeds red, and black i am not a fan of philladelphia, nor the rangers most of all. never had the vendetta with the islanders that i have with the other. probably because most years they suck. at the same time i really don't despise pittsburgh as much as i do the rangers or flyers either. i am glad they didn't make it to the cup this year, because it's good that there is some new blood. i would have stopped following for the duration of the finals if it was detroit vs pittsburgh the third year in a row. this is the best philadelphia has been playing for most of the playoffs though. i really expected chicago to win in 5, and for the flyers to not even be able to compete with them. i didn't think the flyers would be able to compete with san jose or chicago whoever they wound up playing, and chicago swept san jose in 4 games.

boston really just croaked somewhere after giving up 4 straight games to the flyers after being up 3 games to 0, and the devils have been playing like garbage since january. i can't believe they actually won the atlantic, and were the second seed in the east. this is the best playing philadelphia has done the whole playoffs. or at least the best they have done against a team that is actually great.

Chicago will win. I think the Flyers only managed to beat Montreal because Montreal used everything they had to get passed the first two rounds. Two game 7 series is a sure failure in the playoffs. But what do I know...

flyers looked dead that first period... chicago killed the first period. Then, the flyers blew easy goals in the 2nd period...

Either way, the series has been really really good.

Game 6 should be a good one in Philly. My guess it there will be a game 7 in Chicago.

I bet it goes 7 games. It would be cool to see a team win the Stanley Cup at home for a change. That hasn't happened in the last few years. It always looks odd when you see a team hoisting the cup to a bunch of empty seats.

home ice hoisting of the Cup

Well, I hope the trend continues for at least one more year.

    LET'S GO FLYERS!!!

Well it did continue, but not with the outcome you probably hoped for.

What a crazy game and finish. That ref should feel ashamed of robbing Kane and the Blackhawks of an exploding Cup celebration with the last goal.

Flyers hung tough, Hawks were tougher

Yeah, that OT, game winner, series/Cup winning goal was something else...maybe Leights should have/could have blocked it but regardless...it went in and the Hawks won the Cup.

    Congrats to the Chicago Blackhawks.

aaaaarrrrrrrgggghhhhhhh, so close... what does that make it: 2 of 7, 2 of 8 for the Flyers in Cup Finals? Here's hoping we come out firning in October and make another run. Nice "entertaining" season Flyers. Thank you.
