Man, if I were you I'd wait another week or two before I start making any plans.

Ha, I see what you did there.

3P, Outer Banks. Lots of restaurants, lots of room, lots of beach. Traffic on and off the island might be heavy for the weekend, but it's Labor Day, it's prob gonna be bad everywhere. Good luck

You can read some of my thread... http://www.swellinfo.com/forum/showthread.php?26080-Nicaragua-Advice Let me know if you have more questions. Best thing is to do all inclusive because getting around on your own is a bit of an adventure(or not depending on how you look at it). Most places will pick you up from the airport. The cost of renting a Hilux is a bit pricey. If you're still going to drive, have a good GPS and a compass. You're probably going to want to hit the south west coast. I went 3 years ago with an all inclusive so everything was on cruise control. If I hadn't done that it would have been pretty hard to navigate when I went back and did everything solo. Your time frame doesn't allow for much. 1 full day for travel there and 1 full day for travel back. So you'll only have 3 days. Can you stay longer? That's a lot of cash to spend for such a short trip. Most of the other touristy stuff really isn't in the surf areas. Just beach stuff only. Maybe horseback riding, but I'm sure she'll have fun just enjoying the beach for 3 days. Take her to Magnificient Rock restaurant for a drink/meal/sunset. You could go to lake nicaragua and visit the volcanoes.
