has anyone here ever rented a board in nica? and is there a lot of variety of good boards? I see a lot of shops there online that rent boards, but you never know if theyll hand you a NSP. I think i have to rent because the continental policy is 200 each way!

Email or call the place you are staying or some other places, and ask them. When I was down there, the place I stayed didn't have a huge selection, but that was a 3-4 years ago, and the demand for rental boards has increased hugely. Most places down there will respond by email to questions, if not by Skype.
