    Fyi

A 180mm lens is hardly a first choice "Surf lens," and at over $500, that's just crazy. Buy it if you like, but I'm surely not interested.

180mm is def. on the short end of the surf photo lens range. i have a 200mm on my nikon d3000 & that'll get the job done at beachbreaks where the action's fairly close to shore, but if the break is a bit futher out & there's no way to move closer, i'm sunk. i'm angling for a 500mm w/ the woman as a 30th b-day gift this winter. that should score me some great shots!
oh, & my 200mm was way cheaper than $500 & was brand new!

That pic was definitely cropped, bro. I take shots with my 300mm that aren't nearly that close. Either that, you set up in waist deep water, or this dude is about to eat some serious sand.

I think your were looking for craigslist.org.
