    If you must know I have already posted this on several sites, I just figured that maybe a photographer that frequents this site might be interested, but since your so quick to assume I bet you haven't even taken that into consideration.

    dude people are harsh this lens is actually pretty nice. By no means a stellar surf lens but could do a lot with it here seeing as how we have some close breaks. Slap a teleconverter on that thing and it would do just fine. And a 180mm fixed 2.8 FROM NIKON is no cheap lens. 500 bucks sounds like a good asking price. Even the sigmas at 3.5 start at $700 brand new

    $530 doesn't sound ridiculous if it's in good shape, but I have to agree with the others that a 180mm prime is short for surf photography.

    That's a nice lens, though, and the right buyer could make some nice work with it.
