That stuff will tear your skin up. I prefer velcro. A layer on your deck and little strips on your reef booties works great. I velcro'd my rash guard but I could'nt pop up. It also keeps your tin foil helmet on to stop all those unwanted voices in your head.

Hey while we're testing surfing without the wax why not test out surfing without the leash, or the fins, or maybe boards that aren't event glassed....push your theory to the extreme and inform us of your results

good thing you were not around when fiberglass boards took over the seemingly unbroken wood boards

how about a carbon fiber board with no fins only perpellers, foot straps, built in gps with a swellinfo app. lights for night surfing and a horn ! to let people know not to drop in.

the leash is a hard one to figure out.

i would to hear other ideas about a leash

Sticky Bumps blows Mrs. Palmer's all day long homie. (u read that however you want to...)

Add this to your research & development:
    1. make cutouts & drop some magnets in your blank at pre-destined locations then glass your board.

    2. get some sq. yard scraps of refrigerator magnet material & stitch up some sick rashguards & super thin booties.

    3.Test away
(i hear magnets are great for circulation & balance, just like those little bracelets on TV<-- 2 great selling points right there) Hope you're ready to retire, Its get money time dude

Nothing like waxing up a fresh board, or even re-waxing a board for that matter. I receive free wax here and there, and im not really worried about the cost. I just hate a dirty board, which i why i believe that the next thing is going to be wax that doesn't get dirty; i just hope they keep the smell. Oh, and by the way, by far the best wax is bubblegum surfwax. Sticky bumps smears and gives me rashes, ms palmers is too flakey, palmers and S a D, and...uh..sex wax is terrible. Oh and who uses base coat? Now thats a waste of $$$$

the last board I bought, the guy in the shop was like "Here you go, you can have a free bar of wax if you'd like"... keep in mind this is after I had just dropped $390 for a board. lol I didn't want to be a jerk but in my head I'm like "gee thanks mister!"

I tried sanding it with 60 grit (saw this on a website). Actually works pretty well. I did this on an old board, as I find it hard to mess up a brand new board. Not too bad on your chest either. Just do a little by little, until it has the desired grip.

Nothing like waxing up the board in concentration while chicks on the beach are looking at you!
