i question why i own surfboards still sometimes after moving from california to the northeast, you surf like twice during the summer on 3-4ft waves then its back a 4/3 then a 6/5/4 in the ****ing blizzards all winter. this summer has been particularly bad this year, hope the best for the rest of hurricane season!

Move south, summers are much more consistent on south facing beaches without having Long Island blocking everything. I agree living, even up near Sandy Hook NJ is torture in summer. One or two swells maybe, all summer long.

Yep. Summer can be real depressing for surfing. Great time to travel and get away to Costa, Mexico and Hawaii. Fall is on the way with the cold fronts and Northeasters. Sorry Dude, but that video pretty much describes surfing in the Northeast, and is as depressing as this thread is. Yet the best times are coming and what we wait for in Southern New England. I don't know where you have been , but this summer , particularly in the Sandy Hook area has been fun , surfed 4 days last week alone , 3 / 4 ft. plus . Not the summer of all time but fairly consistant for summer .
