A more appropriate surf nickname would be SaltyCaronline.

To this day I can't get over how strange that album is. The lyrical content, the use of things like bicycle bells, the age of the group when they made it... to this day, when I listen to it, there's always something I haven't heard before. Not too shabby, being named after a song off of Pet Sounds.

Your ding repair wasn't too shabby either! Good job. Thanks for postin' up the finished product. Next time try to get it so that you can't even see the glass cloth through the repair. The subtleties of prep-sanding depth are very important here (along with using just the right amount of resin & not sanding through it into the repair cloth).

Props for fixing your own board. I hate seeing people who just surf boards with open wounds, as if there was no chance to treat the affliction. Don't forget to tell people you learned ding repair from Swellinfo, not MagicSeaweed, those idiots couldn't even fix themselves a fish and chips.

    Thanks Slashdog!

I did notice the cloth when I finished up and was a little bummed that you could see it but hey, for the first time I'm happy it's sealed up. When I was originally sanding down the area I was nervous I was going to over-sand and possibly damage the fin box. I'm just not sure where in the process that happened..? Bad sanding or not enough resin?

I will let everyone know that MSW had no part in this repair - all Swellinfo :)

After all that effort to revive that stick, it'll probably ride magically.

I'm hoping so, I've only taken it out once since the repair and it seemed pretty solid! The board is so much smaller than my go-to so it's going to take some time before I can really tell.
