yeah me too my 9'8 nr2 is dark blue on the nose . makes it hard to keep wax on the nose in the summer. I wanted a real glider that worked in knee to hh surf . I saw this when it came in and put the hold on it .

nice looking board. I like the concave scoop up front. Is this new or used? What size fin are you using?

Looks like an oval concave under the nose... as opposed to the typical teardrop on most. Is that what you usually opt for?

What are the other bottom contours? Rocker specs?

The nose is spooned out on the water to Displace water under the nose while noserideing . This eliminatest water distrubances and make it more stable aswell.

Its got moderate belly rocker and it has a little extra in the tail for turning and hold on the nose .

I have this board in a smaller size but wanted it a little bigger to make it more versitle in many wave conditions and size . It got Stock off the Rack Dims for a board 9'10 cause that was the total dims I was looking for . Little wider threw out the board than my 9'8 will make it have extra glide the make up for it being a little thinner . 50/50 Rails and a 10'5 fin . I was wanting a glassed fin but after months of debating with myself I went with a fin box

I will get a side shot of it tomorrow before I paddle out

finally took it out today and all I can say is WOW!. This is probally the best noserider I have ever ridden. It noserided so easy and it really stable when u are on the nose . It glides like nothing in this world and it catches anything from knee high to shoulder high like its nothing. Turning on this board it easy and smooth. I can say this is my new goto board

    hubba hubba nice looking board.

how do you like the nr2?
how does it compare to the nr1?

    Thanks

Well the nr1 is glassed with volan and it a but thicker and has a glassed fin. The Nr2 is a bit wider, thinner and has a fin box, Glassed with 10oz cloth with a 4 oz tail patch, a rail lap, and patch for knee paddling and a belive a extra layer on the bottom.

The Noserider has a 60 era glassing its really heavy where this one is a bit lighter and bit more user friendly for the travler or someone who like to experiment with fins

    cool very cool
thanks for the info. NR2 sounds like a really nice ride with good weight.

I dug the nr1 ride and glide but the drag from the fin placement killed me.
been eying up the nr2 like the idea of fin box.

I set my fins all the way back and I dont feel any noticeable drag on the nR2 . I am also using a 10 inch fin . Its very speedy , keeps it momentum and I feel the turning is easy but its not to sensitive , which I think is due to the width making it very stable
