We have the FlowRider and the Bruticuss Maximus (Standing Barrel) in SD. Def an experience to try, but it's not easy and when you fall, its not forgiving.

Yea, I live 7 minutes from there. I'm curious what the charge will be to use it.

Not my thing, I'm too much of a purist, but you can't deny that this kidde rips the thing apart. Skip to around the 1 minit mark.

Just curious...this Chris Childers guy...he HAS to be able to surf (standing), right? I mean, the guy pulled a rodeo drop-knee, so he should be able to do the same sh** on a surfboard.
Also, what are the most common injuries for bodyboarders? These guys slam on waves in the prone position constantly. That has to jack your back up after a while, right? Are there any other weird repetitive injuries common to bodyboarders? Does the tip of your wiener wear-away over time if you trunk it a lot, etc?

Yup, I've seen footage of him riding prone, dk, and stand up...on the flow rider and real actual waves. That dk rodeo was sick, I noticed that too...I imagine boosting on that thing is not forgiving at all.

As far as professional BBers, I think it was Ben Player this winter that broke some ribs and had internal bleeding from boosting at some giant Irish slab.

I wear a condomme when i trunk it, so no chafey for me...the only longstanding mark on me are the cuts on my ankles from my fins.

Should save your ankles, in theory.

Never those specifically Towelie, I do rock fin socks most of the time...not to sound like a weirdo but I don't feel right if I don't see the scars on my feet, just one on each foot...so a couple times a season when I trunk it I get them a little gnar-ed up...those inserts look super comfy tho.

What kind you thinking of Towlie? Fins, that is..

Idk dude, from what I'm readin chinchilla have been around since forever, so there's probably some truth to what they put out there. But then again ers4 were mentioned here that are fairly similar in shape, I think. Hubboards?
It's fun to tread on uncharted territory, plus within $50 range isn't gonna bankrupt me if I make a mistake. Right now it's all about researching the hydrodynamics and materials. I just like this kinda techy stuff and visualizing the forces at work.
I'm inclined to go with either churchills or ers4 so far

I'm sure that neck and spinal injuries are quite common as well due to the fact that many spongers enjoy hucking themselves into suicidal shore break.

Word, Jawn. You're like the unspoken of outspoken spokesman for the esr4's. They should send a keg your way at least. Seriously though, from what I'm seeing (on Amazon) is that there are two versions of churchills in circulation? Somebody correct me on this, but looks like there is a lighter yellows/blue and no drain hole distributed by 3rd parties (moray?) and then there's darker blue/yellows from churchill. And the latter have the drain hole in the center of the pocket.
Could that perhaps be the issue?
I'm thinking about ordering a couple of pairs and trying them on at home. Walk around, like to the grocery store or whatever and see which one feels better. I'm definitely thinking those ankle cushions + fin savers... Hopefully not forgetting anything. Maybe socks..
