I'm not really digging the new format for Swell Info. I used to like the fact that it would update at sundown, and the existing day would disappear. And I noticed that for Fire Island today it said choppy all day, and now that I look at 9pm it says semi-choppy for the morning. Now if this is a result of the new "rate the forecast" that doesn't really make sense. Yes it looked sort of clean this afternoon, but knowing that the morning was changed from choppy to semi-choppy is irrelevant at this time of the day. I think by the time the sun goes down, everyone's on to the next day's swell forecast. Other than that I use this site all the time and tell everyone about it. Thanks Jim
Sometimes in the summer I surf after dark after work. I appreciate being able to see the forecast for the time. But I see what you're saying.
Oh yea, I hear you. Me too, I noticed that in summer, the report would update with sunset. Around 7 or 8 it would update and in Winter it would update around 5. I could be wrong, but I think I remember it that way.
I like how it works now. It gives me a chance to compare what I experienced during my session with what the forecast was.
