This 2 feet at 15 seconds off the block island buoy= basically knee high/flat depending on spot. In my limited experience, you need at least 3 feet on the buoy to have something ride-able on a non-longboard, regardless of period on the the east coast. Hopefully, it builds for later.

Most spots will be closing out with longer period deeper swell. Find a jetty or head out east...

Swell info needs to fix it's swell chart. It has 2.3 feet at 15 seconds showing up as solid chest high. That's simply not true on the east coast. This isn't hawaii where the long real long period swell can jack up 3 times it's size once it hit's those reefs from deep ocean. There's a shelf on the east coast.

KMAN, thank you for toning down your short hand writing!
    Good thoughts on your post.

Hope we all get some great surf before the weekend is out.

Farther east you go the bigger you get because your getting closer to the hurricane center. Your right though if this thing was heading closer to us instead of swinging east then it would be an early indicator.

    omg

Waves are waves. its not the wave that makes a good ride. its the surfer
knee high or 25ft+ it all depends on the surfer.

btw if you found a good spot this evening
    id bet on it 2marrow

Saw some nice waves today with clean conditions

who noticed the sick backwash in LB today going into low
