Here it goes again: My original character was South Jetty Bill. I got a series of bans(2 day, 1 week, 2 weeks, one month and then two months. Then I got Eternity)

Then I came on again and it happened again.....

So, these names were RETIRED. I just don't get email bans, I get IP Address bans.

Ricky, I don't have people follow me around with a camera but I"m not claiming that I saw people on this forum surfing or hanged out with other members. A lot of people take photos with friends. I thought maybe he had one from his time with Seen and Yankee to prove of their meeting. This is the internet you know. Everything is true.

Liam, I did persue surfing because I was brainwashed into thinking there was a "progression"

I was turning in five sessions and realized that:

I hate looking down at waves

Most waves in NJ aren't worth standing-up for and are better handled with my un-glassed foam toy

Boogie boarding don't look as cool, usually, but it feels better

I like dropping in head first

I like the feeling of vulnerability you get on a sponge(yeah standing on a 8 foot wave provides a much more docile paradigm than laying down looking up at that sucker)

I don't have to buy ten boards for every two foot increase in swell

I like getting hit by my boogie board(even broke my nose landing/stomaching a floater and I loved it)

I can throw my board around unlike the delicate flower surfboard.

I don't have to worry if my fin set-up is preventing me from shredding ( tri, quad ?? What brand and what pro surfer model). Though, this keeps me from selling fins on Swellinfo.

 

Makes sense. That's what I was looking for. I needed to understand from the other perspective. I agree that most days in NJ aren't great for surfing at least the typical hpsb thruster. That's why I log on the crap days. Then shortboard on the good ones.
