do you think this weekend could be a shot of fun waves in NY? the wind is looking pretty strong offshore
There's no way it's gonna be good in NY this weekend. Wind forecast was way too strong to begin with, and now it's shifted West. Best bet is to surf right under the radar dome in Montauk, it's shielded from offshores as the dome reflects them. Anywhere else on the island, and you could get blown out to sea.... If it goes hard West then your only chance would be driving to Jerz- probably Squan, but I think your best bet is the dome.
Friday looks shot as the winds are supposed to be west. Tomorrow there might be hope. SI is forecasting 30+ mph winds from the NE. The weather on my phone is saying like 15 from the NE though. Depending on which forecast is more accurate, it could be fun. Ill be up early to look at the tree outside. If the tree is upright I will probably at least give it a look. If its sideways I am going back to bed.
