We have lift off for the Hawaiian Island surf forecasts. We are still in testing mode here, so we appreciate any feedback.

Right now, you will find forecast pages for Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island of Hawaii. Kauai forecasts will be up in the near future. We have done some un-matched nearshore wave modelling for Oahu and Maui. This is a great way to see how surf is coming in to all areas of the islands. You can zoom out of the wave maps by mousing over the minus sign in the top left corner of the wave map.

And, of course all of the other great Swellinfo resources are available in the Hawaii locations. In general, the most useful resource is the Swell Plots which give the actual sorted swell data for the given location.

The biggest challenge for the Hawaii forecasts is the wind data. The data we have is not going to take into account the highly variable land and sea breezes. We hope to make strides in producing better wind data in the near future.

    We appreciate any feedback.

    Mahalo!
