This is the day the he rose from the grave rising above to defeat death- (after being put to death on good Friday for the punishment of all our shortcomings/sin) giving a real living assurance that those who place thier faith and belief in what he has done will receive eternal life!

Easter is rooted in paganism (Ishtar), which is detestable to the God of the Hebrew scriptures. Any one of Christian faith "celebrating" this day is being fooled. Same for Christmas.
