Hey boys, It's been awhile since I've posted anything. I've been semi lurking but honestly I've been so busy with the new job down here just haven't had time to post really. Just wanted to say that quitting my job behind a desk and doing Ocean rescue down here has probably been one of the better decisions I've made. I seriously love this job.even though we work 60+hours a week, Getting paid to be at the beach, getting into probably be best shape I've ever been in thanks to our PT crazed captain, being able to surf quality waves when there's swell. I really can't complain. I mean, I got payed to do ATV training on jockeys ridge yesterday and then got to bodysurf chest high waves until dark after our competition practice. Dammit I love this. I only wish it was year round.... Haven't made any human rescues yet but I did help get a 16' catamaran out from under nags head pier yesterday am. However this weekend might be the weekend I have to save somebody. It's gonna be big down here if the forecast holds true to what they are calling for. Anyway, just wanted to say hi to you guys and hopefully now that I'm in the swing of things and finally getting a couple days off hopefully I can participate a little more like I used to. This summer looks promising. Also, if anybody is coming down here, but me up. I can show ya around to a few spots.
heading down frisco in the middle of July...stoked...glad your stoked! The current euro model is calling for some crazy action off the coast there and up here...we will see what happens...be safe and you may, unfortunately, have some recues if that model remains true...probably better the average Joe stay out of the water if it gets crazy.

Awesome stuff 757! I worked ocean rescue at Stone Harbor (just south of Belmar) back in like 1993, lived in North Wildwood and had an absolute blast. I'm seriously stoked for you- living and working at the beach is a true dream job. Now I work for THE MAN, but...I'll always have those magical few months on the Jersey Shore with Snooky and the gang. Livin' vicariously through you, bud...need pics!
