OC lifeguard ruined my day

where'd he go? some people's stupidity is really amazing but at the same time quite sad... your too easy bro, stay in PA, i ****ing hate your people's lack of driving skills and feelings of entitlement when you bring your stink asses to OC. i go to ocmd prob around 30 times a year and i would never never consider myself a local. i do consider it as my usual place to surf tho.

Think about it, instead of standing up there voguing all day they could be capturing all of our shredding, knee and and skim alike!

For the record, so that you know that I know what I'm talking about, I am an OC lifeguard and have been for many years now.

I have also spent every summer in OC for over a decade.

So if you choose to respond to me, make sure you know what you're talking about, because I sure as hell do.

There are no secret spots. OCMD is one long public beach, there aren't any areas hidden and all the best breaks are known to all the real locals. If you really had been coming down here for years, you would know that.

We don't change the rules for people because they're "good" or because "we don't have to worry about you". You can't skim on the beach from 10-5:30, every day that the lifeguards are working, always. It's been like that for years, and if you really had been coming down for a "long time" you would have known that.

Like I said, had you really been familiar with the city and actually an experienced surfer/skimmer, you would know that we have SURFING BEACHES and there is no skimming allowed while we are working.

Yea, we're lazy and don't do anything. Nevermind that 20+ saves I've made this year alone.... Or the many people I've pulled out of the water who had serious neck or back damage and sent to the hospital, come to find out that without my help those people might never have walked again. Nevermind all of the lost kids I've found and helped return to their parents, or all of the educating I do for the people who don't have a clue what they're doing out there (which would probably include you if I ever saw you out there).

Good luck with that. We are one of the best beach patrols in the world. Read that again, the world. AAA rated only a few beaches in the world with a 5 star safety rating last year, us being one of them. The town loves the patrol because we do our job amazingly well, and we help facilitate the tourists for huge number of things, not only rescuing them but also providing important information that helps bring tax dollars to the town.

We aren't just lazy college meatheads in red shorts hassling cocky kids like you. We are extremely well trained individuals who do a damn good job.

You're not allowed to launch vessels from the beach. Since your kayak has paddles, it is considered a vessel and you're not allowed to use it. It has nothing to do with being too crowded, and it has nothing to do with you "carvin the lip and diggin [your] paddle into a fat turn", which I find unlikely at best, seeings how dumpy OCMD's waves are.

They just read the post, got frustrated and confused (thus taking the bait of the troll) then immediately started banging on their keyboards with their fist's.
