Thanks chich, I dig that poster man.

That's what really drew my attention to the sky in the first place.

Yes "Spanish Moss" botanically known as Tillandsia usneoides. Not a moss at all but an epiphitic bromeliad (air plant). Related to pineapple.

    Oh, and nice pics Scarecrow.

Yeah, sometimes I pick up Spanish Moss off of the street in Wilmington, bring it home and toss it on a branch of one of my trees, and it just grows there. And the birds come and pick at it for their nests in the spring.

It was an absolutely gorgeous weekend. The water color along the sound was Caribbean like and the waves got pretty good on Saturday with some random chest high sets. The surfing pics are from the previous swell though.

sweet shots scarecrow, love that Spanish moss, grows all over the place here in VA..
spent the weekend in south jersey, explored a ton of breaks in OC and AC, the wind was blowing offshore, but at what felt like 50 knots so it wasn't very appealing for most of the morning. kept thinking I could find some wind shelter from a big building, but there was no escaping it.
anyways I eventually found this nugget in northern Ocean City.

I love that y'all got structures out the d!ck hole up there.. always something in the water around the corner or up the street, so many different spots makes it easy to keep yourself from a huge crowd. thanks for the friendly locals that hooked me up with a couple street names
Anyways, burnt down a fatty of sour and paddled out at this place..
    image1.jpg
it was fun as $hit! the tide was going out so there was a current right by the jetty that would suck you right out.. a few older dudes in the lineup but they were rippers and I showed my respect by watching them do their thing for a couple sets and hooted them into a few. the one guy was killin it on his fun board.. good style cutbacks. got a few great rides where I took off in front of the jetty and was able to get that one huge initial pump from the top of the first section into the bottom of the next and just squatted as the lip threw over my head for a few moments. one wave I got two sections to throw over me in a row! pumped. Jersey is really f'n cool. coming from a place where there's one inlet with two jetties... having hundreds of surf spots as options felt like a great wealth.
    shakas.
