I woke up early this morning to take care of a few things before squeezing in a surf. It's nice that the sun is starting to rise at a later hour so I get to experience a few again. The sunrise was spectacular but different...very different. My surf was only ok, you could tell there was a little more energy out there but nothing special yet and I got popped by a jellyfish on my right arm and shoulder so this sunrise was easily the best part of my day. It morphed dramatically as the morning went on.
Picture taken from 10 miles away with the big lens and a long exposure. From 10 miles away is about the only way I like to see Atlantic City.
I took this on Christmas Eve. I have no explanations for it and we were in the middle of nowhere. I thought it was pretty cool though!
This same rainbow effect can be seen on the black water of the bald cypress swamps at First Landing State Park (VB). There was a local article on it last month. https://pilotonline.com/life/wildlife-nature/article_46d83752-f405-11e8-b346-43c346f15ce4.html
