I expected this after the way we loss to you guys last year.Remineded me of 1995 when we lost to the Jags then won the next two Super Bowls.Can't wait to get Von and Champ back.We need them bad.Your dirty birds are playing better now.So far it's been a fun year.Who would of ever thought the Afc West would be better then the Nfc East this year.

There's some magic in Mile High this year. I attribute it all to Wes. Him and the other dozen studs in the Manning receiving corps. Fox is an underrated coach who's been there.

Hawks go down, Giants show that they're done, the Aints are Breesing along, there's Luck in Indy post-Peyton, and the Chiefs are claiming a stake atop the totem pole. Niners back in form so the scribes can settle down about them.

Took an act of God to stop Tom from tying the game up yesterday and c'mon, the rain stopped as soon as the tip drill and pick ended the drive. Wasn't worried in the least and still am not. They have have 3 starters remaining out of the original 22 and it's only 5 weeks in. It's all good because nothing stops this team. Better to get that first L out of the way now. Our best seasons are of the 12-4 to 14-2 variety anyway.

Tonight's Falcons-Jets matchup is huge, huge, huge, for both teams. I get to see my Dirty Birds live at the end of the month but I want that to be when they're in the midst of a playoff hunt. Matty Ice has to start living up to his rep of red zone execution. If not for T-Gonzo and his fine dame of a wife, this team would be winless so far.

This league is the schitt. There are so many teams at 3-2 right now that are under everyone's radar and could pull off a winning streak and surprise. NCAA FB is way too much to keep up with and it's all over the place. American Football is N-F-L.

I never completely understood why the general population is so enthralled with a sport they never play. I've read posts on here about surfing conflicting with Sunday football!? As a real surfer one should realize the gross insignificance of a game like football, and if you want to weigh it against surfing, go f*ck yourself. Just to clarify what I was feeling in my original comment; I have been riding skate boards and bmx bikes since I was 5 and surfing since I was 9. I got air regularly at a young age. I was hooked on the adrenaline high these sports gave me. Surfing in particular captured my soul. Any team sport I ever played couldn't remotely produce the same highs. I quickly lost interest on account of that not lack of athletic ability. I froth my brains out for surfing and have no time to give a sh*t about football. Standing on a football field is profoundly different then sitting in the ocean. The ocean is sacred for way heavier reasons than football is cool to watch on Sunday. Do you really need that clarification? If so I feel sorry for what your missing. I'm not saying surfing trumps other sports. If one never surfed they wouldn't know any better. Sh*t some people love running and I don't get that either. I have no issue with people enjoying what ever sport they like. I have an issue with sheeple. I love surfing the most, and I believe when we surf, we are doing something sacred. I can't say the same about football.

Great post! Some people like watching football. It gives them the same thrill as going straight in the whitewash. Others like surfing the open face, getting air, performing hacks, cutbacks, floaters.

I watch football here and there but I only watch it when I can't surf. I just don't understand people where everything revolves around watching the game on Sunday. They think these players really care about them. They don't give a crap about you and don't even know who you are. Go buy a brady jersey and make worship him like a God. Then, go watch TMZ with all the other idol worshippers.

 

What the hell happened to this thread? I don't know what I missed, but where did this conflict begin? Does it really matter who watches the NFL and who doesn't? Does it make you any less of a person or a surfer if you choose to watch the NFL?

I'm extremely passionate about my team and I pretty much know exactly what I'll be doing every single Sunday. The last time I paddled out WHILE my Ravens were playing was on October 16th, 2011. I buckled one of my favorite boards...

Do I need to burn my jerseys, sell my PSLs and renounce my team to become a better surfer? Is that what Kelly Slater and Bodhi did? Will I be cool just like all you heady brahs and soul surfers out there?

Alright when I saw yankee as the last poster in this thread I knew the topic must've strayed from football. Never bothered with this thread before because football does absolutely nothing for, no offense to you football guys out there, I'm just indifferent to it.
