Okay, so the center fin on the LB seems to be a standard box. The screw out. Seems like any FCS or standard LB fin will pop in and out of it.

The side fin boxes are from a company called O'Fish'L fins. They are actually located in my old neighborhood in SD. Never used them before. They are being used on Sharpeyes and lost and a bunch of other big name companies...

Anyway, I have never used them before. Its a fin system with no screws. It looks like there is a little latch, compression thing on the side that when pushed in, will release the fin...

Anyone used them before? The fin system is only on the side bites, but I am still curious. Their fin selection is NOT a huge one, so I don't plan on getting new fins. Just curious to see how people like them.

I broke a side bite made by ofishl on a friends Stewart LB. I ordered them through mark ( forgot his last name) owner of ofishl. He was a real d!ck to deal with.

I will try not to break them. Next session I plan on taking them out anyway, but I just found it strange that this fin company was in my old hood and none of my shapers or local shops out there used his boxes...

There was a stage where everyone was using "Red X" fins and those things were garbage. I would stomp through them within a couple months and all the boxes would crack. And the slots went all the way through the board and through the top. It was a weird setup. OFishL at least seem like a pretty user friendly system...

I guess if the guy is a tool, maybe that's why he isn't receiving local support. His shop touts the largest selection of used boards in the world though... crazy.

I have them on at least one old longboard. It's Stewart hyrdohull. I rode that board into the ground, and never had a problem with those boxes. I never bothered to take those fins out, or explore changing them. Just some generic longboard sidebites.

I think...and I stress "think" the O'Fishl fins were designed so they would breakaway if they hit something hard enough rather than damaging the board. At least that is what someone told me way back when.

In regards to your other thread on the longboard fin setup. I would leave the sidebites in, and make sure the center fin is all the way forward in the box like someone else suggested for a tight fin cluster. For me that setup was tons of fun back when i rode a longboard with any frequency. I am not the type to set a line and just cruise, even on a longboard, and that setup kept it loose and in my opinion more fun than just a big single fin.

At least give them a fair shake before you resign to go to a single.

Thanks... Yeah, I actually popped the center fin out today and moved it all the way forward. I really hope I dig it the next time, because the huge squirrel looks fun, so I am hoping I can get comfortable with it. I am already looking at standard 7" fin with a medium base and low sweep. That seems like it will be a more traditional thruster style setup.
