VB blows. Danielle will be a mess then we might be lucky to get 4-5 hours of clean waves on the back end of Earl before it's completely blown out.

probably won't surf the junky days... but I'm a sucker for these fickle breaks that wake up in specific conditions. Is there anywhere I can park to take pics of this during the weekend, w/o getting harassed by cops of course?

Droping names or spots is okay it you do it very vaughly . For example I was surfing in cape may. There are many breaks in Cape May so who knows which one you are talking about. When you go to naming streets or beaches thats a no no. For one it makes for over crowding and then it becomes a safty issue. Probally right now there is a lurker reading this who has been surfing 3 months thinks he is gonna paddle out to the spot you named. In result he can be a risk to his and others safty out in the water.

Someone about pissing off locals and who is to say if they are not a "local" or not. I see this all the time at the breaks I surf in my area. You get these 3 monther's as I call them who think they are local cause they have surf the same break every summer for 6 years and they think they are some type of royalty or something. If have surfed the same place year in and year out you are a local.
It funny how these summer surfer think they are so core until you have a run in with them and they try to flex to you say they cant wait til summers over and they look stupid after you tell them how you have surfed that very same beach in the winter and you never seen them once after sept.

Basicly I am not gonna come to your house and S hit the place up dont do it to my place

as much as im against giving away spots. Many many spots are going to be extremely crowded this weekend whether you name them or not. As for people who have secret spots that only them and their buddies go to, i would never expect those spots to be named. I know where i am in jersey most of the beaches are public so any beaches that i am hoping to skateboard/bike to are going to be public and crowded anyway.

    Just stop it

People are supposed to figure out where to go on their own with experience that comes with time. It spreads people out based on experience and ability. I really dont appreciate what your doing.
To say locals dont surf is just about the most ignorant thing I've heard in a while. You dont have to be born there to be a local. Living there year round and the connections with the community and the people lend to a collective mindset. Not to mention the people born there who all rip.
This whole thread makes me really upset. Mostly because of its S. NH report affiliation, which is a highly localised and coveted place in itself. So disappointed with this whole situation.

scored big croatan this morning. I woke up and started to get my mountain bike ready and said, "eh, ill check it" . One glance at the cam and ten seconds later i was grabbing fins and leashes and scrambling to get there while it was still firing. SCORE> This is one solid swell. even in onshore simi chop there were spitting tubes all up and down the inside sections. Sick waves today

and (5) people who give up spots/names when they travel overseas and (6) people who stay at surf camps where the owners promise to take you to all the "hot spot waves" selling off their "local knowledge" for a buck.

    7) those that dont take the risks or make the sacrifices in life to actually live at the ocean and be a part of what they love each and every day.

Nice... was actually out just a wee bit south of you... long ass lulls, but the sets came in 4-5's, about every 5 minutes. What I hate about these swells is that week after week prior we get nothing but flat, now this...r. So you're a little bit gun-shy at first, took a while to get adjusted to the power and the fast lines. I rode my bike to the ECSC when I got lunch, and it looked a little better/cleaner and well formed at the ocean front, too bad each surfer was so close to each other, they could've given you AIDS
