Well, maybe if you guys had to choose between Jerry Brown and crooked as$ Meg Whitman, the business tycoon who lies cheats steals and insider traders... Now that was a hard choice. Every major CA paper called it "The race for the lesser of two evils"

I mean, Jerry Sanders, the mayor of SD is a slime ball. I mean, he probably has to shower multiple times each day to keep all the scum and sludge from collecting all over himself. A truely terrible man. Terrible for the enviroment. Crooked as a boomerang, selfish, sneaky, polluting, ocean killing, fish killing loser.

The funnt thing is, all the dems out here are dancing in the streets and talking sh** about how "Arnold Lost his Control" and all this anti Arnold sh**

HEY RETARDS< HIS TERM WAS UP!!!!

Its like the anti-bush sh**.... MAAAANNNNN.... That dude won his TWO terms... His time was up.

Bush was Re-Elected.... Arnold was Re-Elected.....

And to the GENIUS who made the Bush comment....

Why dont you use google for good, and why dont you google all the ECONOMIC statistics that were in play in our country on BUSHs watch...

On Bush's watch: Yes, we were at war...

Yes, the economy was booming... (In ALL of emerican history, the ECONOMY BOOMED at war... Its like an economic jump start because it once again internalized our economy... It cuts Chinas profits in half and keep lead toys in Mexico where they belong... Look at our History... Or economy BOOMS at war...)

    Yes, The housing market soared...

Yes, the economy was SOOO good, that tons of people took out credit and loans they cant afford....

Yeah, It was a REAL ***** when Bush was in office...

I mean, all that money in my pocket was SOOOOOOOO bad....

I mean, my healthcare was ACTUALLY AFFORDABLE 5 years ago... NOW, it has trippled... I still pay, but it trippled. And only going up....

Oboma spent 80% of the AMOUNT of the ENTIRE WAR.... ALMMOST A FULL TRILLION!!! ON THE BANK BAILOUT! That none of us have seen.

I mean, none of us want to get into some stupid Obama Bush argument...

But come on... STOP LYING!!!!! Life was pretty fu**ing good a few years ago...

    Im just saying.

Now, based on Tuesdays results, the right wing took control back where it counts, so all this obama-care and everything else that most americans consider a big win, is about to be Smashed apart... Just wait. If any of these political analysts know anything, then thats what will happen...

So before we all rejoice, just remember this is politics, and everything both sides tell us is usually a lie. And half of us believe it, half dont. But both sides lie...

Obama has done nothing for us so far. Except spend Almost as much money as bush did in 8 years, all in 2 years.

So, do the math. Do the research, and join the rest of us who hate both sides. I want what is best for my country, but the problem is that everything is too right and too left...

Obama has the ridiculous left hugging trees, driving priuses, holding hands signing cumbiyah.... Talking about saving the world....

Then you have crazy as$ tea baggers who want to dismantle washington and repeal every bit of work that has been there...

    Politics sucks...

We are all just sheep. Wool pulled right over our eyes....

war = expensive = national defect. That makes bush directly responsible for a large amount of this problem.

Obama hasnt done MUCH to stop the war = still expensive = bigger national defect.

Like i keep saying - we are all screwed unless we get the F out of the middle east and take care of our OWN problems.

Oh yeah, since we are so broke, lets give away a bunch of free Sh!t while we are at it. F$#king stupid.

I didnt vote because i really dont know what is best for this country. I think thats more credible than the masses of people who vote but dont know what the F they are talking about.

    Because it was too vaugue....

It said that persons over the age of 21 could legally grow, smoke and posses it, while the state government would would tax and regulate it...

The reason it failed is because the Actual MJ community in CA is all against it...

The way it is now, with Prop 215, people running dispenseries make a KILLING. I have a close friend who runs one, he is litterally a millionaire.

The entire NorCal area makes HUNDREDS of millions a year off of it....

It is already producing so much money, no on involved is willing to give up their money and hand it over to the government...

In CA, the growers are already protected by state law, so they are not willing to share...

So, not only did all advocates who have power already have their hands in the cookie jar, the ENTIRE hispanic community voted against it..

You know why???? CAUSE THEY MAKE BILLIONS per year smuggling it into our country....

Was it a shocker when they polled San Diego, and the entire Southbay area from Chulajuana to San Ysidro, the Majority was ALL against it, because SADLY most people who actually CAME from mexico, legal or not, have HUGE ties to the drug trade...

If their drugs are of ZERO value when they hit our soil, their families and the 200 relatives in mexico all go unfed. Starved...

So the very fabric of the situation is still as$ backwards here....

And STILL, we almost got it to pass... The general reason that The old folks and the church goers are opposed to it is this:

#1) How are we going to regulate driving while High? Answer: You cant... You can blood test, but blood tests CANNOT isolate when the user ACTUAL smoked. Could have been 72 hours ago, could have been 5 minutes, you can't tell...

#2) How will the workforce of CA be able to regulate usage while working.... If its legal, you cant tell the guy on the fork lift that he cannot be high....

So, we had no answer for either of the questions, other than HEY IDIOTS, the guys who already work at Walmart using the fork lift are HIGH RIGHT NOW!!!! THEY HAVE THEIR MEDICAL CARDS>....

And to the DRIVING WHILE HIGH!!! Yes, there is no answer for that, OTHER THAN THC DOES NOT Ruin your ability to drive. AT ALL. Just because the US government put out a bunch of propoganda, about high kids running over children in a drive through... ITS BS!!! DRUNK DRIVING IS AN ISSUE.... HIGH DRIVING RESULTS IN WAITING FOR A STOP SIGN TO TURN GREEN... Not running off the road....

This country is close... But hey, California voted DOWN gay marriage too...

So, while everyone assumes californians are all gay-tolerant stoners, I guess they are wrong.... The people who run **** are old, rich gringos living in the hills....

Yeah. The analysis I read supports your #1 and #2 points. Somebody needs to come up with a way to test and then I think it passes in alot of places.

What I've read goes along with all you've said too.

edit: (Damn, cresto4 beat me to it)

Except you could say they can't be high while working. Same as you cann't be drunk while working. But, it does fall back on your previous point on testing/proving someone is high at work.

You can test for alcohol use ON-SITE with a simple test strip that is 99.9% accurate.

Like I said, they can test for Alcohol u pto 8 hours after consumption and be 100% accurate...

There is ZERO testing in place in ANY state that can isolate when Marijuana was used. You can tell up to three weeks back, but there is NO way to isolate usage with Pot... At least no way that will legally hold up....

So, again, I stand by the fact that NO ONE SHOULD EVER TEST FOR IT!!!

But for Law Enforcement, Public Service, Education, DRIVING etc... All these business have to do is ADPOT A ZERO TOLERANCE policy...

So if you are a cop, truck driver, teacher etc... Your employer has you sign a waiver saying that you forfeit your right to smoke pot, EVER!.... So, then they can test you randomly and if you piss dirty AT ALL, you are done...

Zero tolerance from employers is fine...

Just cause its legal, doesnt mean you have to employ users....

FBI and other fields have a ZERO alcohol tolerance policy... Medics, on Call.. Zero tolerance...

So, deal with it people. If you are dealing with life and death and really important sh**, pot isnt for you anyway...

But to throw this measure away because they are afraid that the kid at Burger King is going to be high while working the frier is a joke.... EVERY KID, in every BK IN MD is HIGH RIGHT NOW!!!!

    I mean, its crazy talk.

I could buy that if every employer is allowed to do it OR cannot be sued based on a stoned employee. I think the fear is that the Walmart forklift driver could hit someone and then the someone sues the crap out of Walmart. We all know that would happen.

Right. I agree. But the end result would still be the same. The court would NEVER be able to prove that the employee was actually HIGH when they were operating it. Only that the employee had smoked weed in the past 3 weeks. Higher levels yes, but that cannot hold up in court. The only way they could get sued is if the kid driving the fork lift said "Yes, I was under the influence of Marijuana when I ran over that lady"..

So, I agree that it is a liability issue, but I know entire kitchen staffs that work high all the time in local restaurants. They cut themselves, they slip and fall, but their blood is never tested for pot. That doesnt even factor into the equation unless someone says it. Alcohol yes... They will test you immediately in the hospital for that here. But not pot. I have never, in YEARS of sending people in and out of hospitals for minor work related injuries, and that is NEVEr a factor...

Could it be a factor, yes.... But in most cases, that is a long shot...

If you are DRIVING on the road, yeah, they will ASK you if you were high, but they cannot prove it unless you have a still burning joint in your hand when the paramedics arrive.

The sheep have the wool pulled over their eyes when they walk about blindfolded to the facts and the context of the facts. Many facts cited above sound like soundbites and misinformation, e.g., the item about the "Oboma spent 80% of the AMOUNT of the ENTIRE WAR.... ALMMOST A FULL TRILLION!!! ON THE BANK BAILOUT! That none of us have seen." Just get the basic facts right first. Then we can move on to the speculative facts such as what probably would have happened if TARP had not passed and been implemented. And if we did not have a "socialist program" such as FDIC (and FDIC implementing expanded limits on banking accounts during the peak of the financial crises).

The Iraq War was a war of choice -- billions of dollars were wasted, unnecessary blood was spilled and the real threats in Afghanistan were ignored with the start of the Iraqi invasion. The region has become more unstable as result of the intervention in Iraq and Iran has grown more powerful and influential in the region. The American populace grows inpatient with long wars and the Iraq intervention lengthened our engagement in Afghanistan (and now Pakistan) and diverted the nation's attention on real security threats to the USA, such as the incipient growth of threats in Yemen and elsewhere.

This is not so clear although on the face of it may seem to be. I would like to see a good economic input/output analysis on this and the real cost/spend ratios of entitlement programs.

This reminds me of a newly elected "Tea Party" congresswoman that does not have a clue what constitutes Federal discretionary and non-discretionary budget accounts. Doesn't even know a damn thing about what is in or not in the Federal budget for that matter. Now that is scary.

One opinion, countered with another opinion.
There are no facts involved in your opinion either...

Like I tell anyone else who wants to argue this point... SHOW ME THE MONEY...

The facts that I have been presented with, on the most recent of debates that I have seen was this: The Iraq/Afghan war has tallied 1.2 Trillion (in 8 years) The obama bail out clocked in at just over $800 billion, issued in SECONDS... SECONDS...

And the answer from supporters is: The money is already back!!! Its back in the economy... They are rebuilding roads... They are fixing sidewalks...

B.S. Show me ONE document that actually shows the LEGITIMATE breakdown of where our money went... Other than back to Wall street. Back to Wells Fargo. Back to BOH. Back to CHASE... Back to the people who are CRIPPLING our society...

Yes, I agree that people should not take out loans they cant afford, but the BANKS took the risk... They risked their money on US... And they failed... But who has to front the tab??? ALL OF US WHO DIDNT BUY A HOUSE...

Obama care is great? My already bloated healthcare doubled. I was also told that I dont "Qualify" for the 28 million people nationally who will be assisted by this... 28 million people??? THATS ALL????? THATS HOW MANY PEOPLE OBAMA WANTS TO GIVE HEALTHCARE TOO??? WELL WHAT THE FU** ABOUT ME????? There are 33 million people just in the state of CA???!?!?!??!!? So, who has the wool over their eyes INDEED....

And yes the Iraq war was a Choice... In my opinion, and in many other who actually understand how the chain of command works, all agree with that war...

Did they lie about their intentions? YES! Did they lie about WMDs... probably... Did they do the right thing in the END??? ABSOLUTELY!!!!!

If you have not watched the movie "W"... you should... It has a nice 5 minute explaination about why we REALLY invaded Iraq... Watch that scene... It is the TRUTH... 150% the truth... You may not agree with it... but as an american, if you think that having a STRONGHOLD in that particular part of land is a bad idea for the U.S., then I think you are way off.....

People have wool pulled over their eyes if they think that "Good ol George W" just saw at his desk, smoking a cigar, waiting and thinking if he would invade Iraq?????

I mean COME ON!!! Talk to anyone who is in the military how this works!!!!

Bush has THOUSANDS, yes THOUSANDS of what the world considers to be the most intelligent strategists in the WORLD... A think tank with the most intense minsd on the PLANET>.. All meeting DAILY, mulling through military data, running algorythms based on "What ifs"...

So, for those of you who blame Americas problems on Bush, you should take a good look in the mirrow, because there were THOUSANDS of people, employeed on the SOLE grounds of SAVING YOUR EXSISTANCE AND PROTECTING AMERICA....

And when they all UNANIMOUSLY decide, that yes, it is in fact in America's best interest to invade the middle east... And take position next to one of the most feared international powers in the world... And sandwich yourself in between the TWO most plentiful oil fields on the planet... I mean, talk about a no brainer...

We were waiting a decade to invade that place... They opened up a small window, we Jumped all over it... Successfully I might ad....

And meanwhile, all those troops got increased PAY, TONS of benefits, increased military personel across the board... All those troops were Having Kids (Great for the economy), buying homes (great for the economy) and most importantly, THEY BELIEVE IN EVER SINGLE THING THEY ARE DOING....

So, I am not trying to argue with ANYONE about politics... I am just giving you a different perspective on the matter....

I based my opinions on Military Data, Financial figures and common sense....

So, again, I ask you... Am I the one with the wool over my eyes?

You may not agree with why the U.S. did what they did... But to sit here and act blind to what the ENTIRE THING IS ABOUT is crazy to me... It makes me not even want to debate anything further...

It is what it is... SHOW ME THE MONEY....

All that obama-care is about to get repealed now that the reps are in office... I HATE THAT... I think we should leave everything in place. The majority of this nation agrees with it, so leave it alone... I just also feel that most people are blind, or just dont want to pay attention to the truth...

Yes, the US is cruddy sometimes. Yes they lie... But do i believe, that EVERY SINGLE american is better off or will be, Absolutely I do....

Again, no ill will in my opinions is intended. I know we are all americans, all in this together... So, everyone can think what they want...

I just have a lot more faith in our system than a lot of people do. And my answer to them is, LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT BABY! Which is why Im here to stay, whether I agree with our current administration or not... Im just giving my opinions...

And please, dont think I am trying to dig up this old debate...

This thread was based more on Local government and local decisions and how they impact our nation as a whole...

I am dissapointed in these recent elections... I am somewhat pleased on a national leve, but I just have seen so many little flaws and issues in the people we put up to elect, its enough to make you scream...

I am just another fed up Voter like the rest of u... I love this country... and I love OBAMA... I love Obama, cause dude is my commander and chief. If he shows up at my house and tells me to jump, I will jump to the moon. I only cared about those things before he became president... I DONT agree with all of his policies, but again, this is a democracy, and as long as he is in office, I wish him well... I just wish his followers would leave BUSHes name out of it... Its so played out. its so lame. Its sooooo 2008. You know? Im jsut saying, there comes a time in a presidents term, where he has to OWN HIS POSITION... until now, there has always been the BUSH BACKDOOR, where in any conversation, people will just say... WELL HEY MAN, whats OBAMA TO DO??? ITS ALL BUSHES FAULT!?????

I mean, If Bush were never in office, Andy Irons would still be alive! Right?
