As I search around the different surf report sites, I go to magicseaweed and casually scroll down to the report. When I looked at the graph, it shows FRIDAY THE 12TH IS GOING TO BE 13+ FT IN JERSEY!!!!!!! Get ready people, our surf year isnt over yet.

not sure where you are seeing anything resembling 13ft...

It seems like the surf year is just getting started here...

ok, i see the weather pattern. And i see the difference between those sites and Swellinfo. Those sites are not using the latest model cycle data.

Go to the swellinfo wave maps, and zoom out to the east coast. You will see that the latest models are showing that strong easterly wind swell up in New England, but missing the New Jersey area.

The previous model cycle, which is what those sites are still calculating with, must have showed that storm further to the south and thus hitting the jersey area. So, we'll have to watch this predicted storm pattern and hope the the pattern turns back further to the south for us.

As of now, the Swellinfo wave maps go out to 180 hours, but the forecasts go out to 5 days. We'll get those 7 day forecasts going in the near future.
