Ocean City, MD 1970s?

Delaware 1967


I have heard stories of a pro surfing tour event held in Ocean City in the 1980s. If anyone could dig up photos of that, I would love to see it. Tried a quick search to no avail.

Do you know Will Lucas? He's a good guy if he's the same one I know from Cocoa Beach area.

 

Zach - there were a couple east coast stops on the pro tour from around 1980 - 1990 that would be in Jersey one year, OCMD the next, OBX, Florida. Tropix Pro. I remember at least 2 in OCMD from around the mid 1980s. Wes Laine, Joey Buran, lots of local seeds...Mark Bodulos, Eric Kurzbard, etc. got in.
The waves usually sucked, and ive got no pics but I wouldnt be surprised if MD surfer does, or knows who does.

 

Yup, those are the ones I am looking for. I know nothing was digital then, but I can't find any old archive footage online.
