What up Bos? I think it was Yankee who posted a travel thread a couple years ago. I was talking to someone else about cheap travel and the post popped up in my memory.
Always a good topic. I recently flew into San Clemente California rented a car and drove to Rosario Mexico. Great trip and easy border crossing. It was my first time surfing the Baja peninsula. Lots of waves .. I must have hit a good swell. I did no research to speak of. Just me and my g.f.. We stayed a week and I gained 3 pounds. If I wasn't surfing I was eating.. lots of great seafood and awesome community.
There was a focus on using credit card points and air miles. I'm taking the fam to Puerto Rico in April and want to save some money on future trips.
yea, post should be "what's your next surf trip" or something like that. Potentially going to PR in Feb. Thought i'd be seeing my balance of vaca/'sick days at work (think my initial 3 months at new job is up), but nothing yet. I'll give it a week or so before saying sumtin to the boss. Bought a board bag over the wknd, so gearing up nonetheless

just saw PR ante up on their restrictions dammit. Gotta show proof of vaccine for food/drink, fly in with a test within 48 hrs before/after regardless of vaccine status and like 75% capacity at places. Them closing bars at 12am shouldn't be a big deal
