Agreed. Only thing with setting up shop in Africa is the potential threat posed by the locals. If the CDC setup in all the airports there for departing flights I think that could work well, screen all passengers as you've suggested. But I think putting a mass quarantine into effect would just cause chaos. I don't think a lot of the locals/natives understand that it's a virus, how it's spread, how treatment can work, etc etc. They attribute healthcare and now military presence there to be associated with the illness itself believing we're the ones that brought it and started it. This type of ignorance is what has helped it spread so quickly over there. Healthcare workers are there trying to help the sick only to be attacked by locals who simply just do not understand what is happening. That plus they have ritual burials in which they all kiss and hug the deceased thus spreading the infection. It's just bad news all around. What scares me the most is what happens if biological containment and quarantine measures stateside fail?

Damn dude, here's hoping that student doesn't have ebola... and if he does hopefully the poor procedures practiced in Dallas has prompted all the other hospitals in the nation to deal with this in a serious and safe manner. Hope your mom and sis stay safe!

Thanks man, it honestly freaked me out hearing about this. And I'm hoping for the same, the nurses on the front lines really need to be properly equipped to deal with this.

I hope they stay safe & uninfected.

Oh, and why are flights from W. Africa still allowed into the US? Because common sense ain't all that common.

I don't think it would be a bad idea to stock up on nonperishable food right about now.

OT: Zombie Surfer can you change your avatar. Its buggin me out.

Breezed through this thread but what I agree with is: Its all Monsanto, Fox News, and Obama's fault.

Also agree that its time to: Arm ourselves to the teeth, stock pile non perishables, and start canceling in-bound flights from everywhere. You can leave, you just can't come back. At least not for now.
