Mandatory vaccinations of public workers are a good thing, unless you are an off-the-deep-end idiot like Jenny McCarthy. Unfortunately, the people we elect aren't well versed in the world of science and medicine, so this will probably never happen.

 

Not a good idea to anyone who distrusts the system. In my conspiracy mind, all of this and many other false flags are just a way to steal our liberties and create a government run society...which it pretty much is.
There are some real issues with vaccinations. The same guys with the vaccines are the ones creating the viruses.

 

What issues...? What guys are creating them...or do you mean they are "enhancing" them? Seems like an opinion...based upon skepticism/fear without some evidence.

While I know there are risks with vaccines I think my old man said it best when he said if you've ever seen someone suffer with polio you'd take that f*cking chance. I know someone who got Gillain Barre syndrome from a flu shot about a year and a half ago. He still has to use a walker and is in pain all the time. Sucks if you're the 1% that has a negative reaction! I'm with you on the distrust of big goverment but if there is a vaccine for ebola and it continues to spread I'd roll those dice.

The antivax movement is being lead by groups like Mercola and Naturalnews. These people have no specialization or background to give them the right direct the population on disease and immunization. This is the core foundation of pseudoscience. It isn't shocking that these groups are heavily in bed with other conspiracy theories as well. The fact is, any doctor or medical researcher worth the cost of their degree is on the side of vaccination. Don't fall for the bullsh1t being sold by the antivaxxers.

 

You are so uninformed, it is sad. You have bought in to the pop culture of pseudoscience. GMO isn't banned because it is a vague term to describe many many types of organisms, and through years of research there still isn't solid proof that they cause harm. None. Zippo.
Certain GMO's can be harmful, but not to our bodies. It is harmful to heritage crops, as it can eliminate them.

Your extreme and irrational distrust of the government is making you forget about any science background you may have had. Forced immunization for public workers, not the general public, should be required. They come into contact with the largest portion of the population, and should not be allowed to chance spreading disease. Herd immunity can and does exist, if you can ever achieve it. The issue is that more of the herd is not immunized, thanks to antivax fear programs spreading false information.

I have more respect for the crazies claiming commercial planes are spraying us with mind control serums than I do for antivaxxers.

Brew, your undying faith in science puts you more firmly in a camp like Wayne's than a true scientist. Science is the best answer we have, for now. More data in future will determine who is right regarding a great deal of things, like safety of GMO's, vaccines, etc...remember when asbestos was 'safe' ? how about DDT? slow poisons take time to have their ways and by then we will have a big enough data set (body bags) to determine accuracy

I'd rather eat fresh non GMO foods, there's gotta be a reason why we are the fattest most unhealthy nation in the world. We consume processed foods which have been created rather than grown.

When the FDA makes it so unaffordable to grow non -GMO foods, everyone will have to comply. And when they control the food, they can control the people. Their already doing it with the water...Got Flouride?
