Damn it! I missed it! Was the wind light this morning or were there some closeouts? Are we talking head high?

    stuck at work =\

my plan is before dark hoping for some serious size and the wind may turn a little earlier than expected... even if not, hoping for some rideability

My conversation with a lifehuard in SL yesterday afternoon.

lifeguard: you can't go out here we're shut down
    me: what?! why?
lifeguard: it's basically a state of emergency
me: dude, it's like 4-5 foot and I didn't hear anything about state of emergency.
lifeguard: well, it's like a localized state of emergency for this town.

    HAhahahah! Too funny, brother... Classic.

Yesterday in Asbury I heard the surf cops on a bullhorn saying... "get out of the water or you WILL be placed under arrest!"

I guess there's four seasons... Fall, Winter, Spring, and Liability.

Lol... after I talked to the guard I was thinking... I bet they didn't close down Asbury. I guess I was wrong. I thought about going for a drive where I would be able to paddle out but figured I could drive around for hours and find nothing but closed beaches. So I paddled out at the beach in between SL and belmar. Surfed for two hours and got out. Didn't get harrased by anyone only because SL probly thought it was Belmar's responsibility to get me out and vice versa...

I actually asked a cop if they were fining before I paddled out in Lavallette, yesterday. "Naw, man. You're good." was his reply. Walked out past the lifeguards sitting in their truck and hit it.
