    Psycho Freak

The suit is made with a special material construction to alleviate the need for a thick suit. Theoretically, the layered air pocket neoprene they are using makes a thinner thickness suit with more insulating capacity than a thicker suit- and who wants a thicker suit? Unless of course you're Ralphie's little brother from ''A Christmas Story.''

<<XDS-AIR NEOPRENE Created out of a complex 3D structure of rubber and trapped air components, XDS-Air Neoprene provides unparalleled insulation.>>
Hence, the suits only need to be either 3.5, or 4.5mm.

    The freak!!

I tryed one of these suits on and it is really nice. I have been thinking about replacing my 3 year old Psycho II and this is the suit to do it. Price is steep though at $540 for the 4/5 or $500 for the 3/5. I'm betting this is one warm suit and that sounds good to me especially in February. If you surf all winter and surf every swell it is probably worth every penny.

no built in hood on the psycho freak tho. I don't get that for a $540 full on winter suit.

I was wondering why they don't have a built-in hood. You would think it would have it especially on the 4.5/3.5. In any case that's the suit I'm buying to replace my Psycho II. Still for the money they should be throwing in a surfboard or something.

I was checking out this suit today, ended up getting a 5/4 mutant for the winter instead. I payed 315 for the mutant, which is listed at 350, and the extra 200+ dollars for the psychofreak didn't seem worth it at all to me. No hood, and the XDS air insulated neoprene just kinda felt weird to me. Maybe next year they will further refine this design or lower the price.

Is it just me, or does the psychofreak not feel as stretchy as other models?? maybe the fact that you can wear a thinner suit makes up for this?
