Not sure the lil buddy means hands masturbation. The logo does have brand recognition, and there's different versions of that I've seen. The boards are epic.....beyond durable and each board is shaped by stretch.
Thank you for saying what these are called, because they've been around since the 90s. Stretch didn't come up with this idea. They aren't "rail channels", they're "I-beams" and that's what they were called 20 years ago. I had two boards with them (Hotlines) shaped by Gurney Collins. They are supposed to reduce longitudinal flex, while dropping a little volume in the board.
bra! the reverse grip is an indispensable part of my personal pleasure repertoire! not as exotic as 'the stranger', but it adds variety
Interesting stuff. Not to derail this thread topic, but it looks like we're finally starting to get surf-related posts back on here again, which is a good thing
I like the analogy, but would explain it a bit differently. I order for the folded paper to bend downward, it would have to flex along its long axis, which is pretty is pretty tough to do. On the Stretch topic, I borrowed a 5'10" Stretch quad (the "What model") demo from a local shop and rode it for a couple of hours in waist high waves, and it was easily one of the best "round nose fish" type boards I've ridden. Very quick paddling in, very light in weight, the nose came around in an instant for a board with so much glide and paddle power. Loved it and instantly wanted one.
