dude the water is supposed to go through. Remember, they're H2Odyssey - unless you got drylock, or dryboots, your feet are supposed to get wet, and hopefully retain the heat. Does for me. I got them for their simpleness, and no straps or extra crap on them, like split toe, just so I can wear fins.
I have regular 5mil Billabong surfing boots & wear my wider fins in the dead of winter. 3 mil H2O socks otherwise. I did find a new sock from a dive shop that I want to try out though. Look like pretty high quality materials & come in 5 & 7 mil. website is www.freediveshop.com http://www.freediveshop.com/images/yazbeck_camo_thermo_flex_neoprene_sockB.jpg http://www.freediveshop.com/product_info.php?cPath=45_47&products_id=164 http://www.freediveshop.com/product_info.php?cPath=45_47&products_id=165

Got out today about 12:30 - custom 5/4 - 2/2mm Long sleeve springy and 3/2 fullsuit. Hey that works right? haha worked for me. I just dont got any gloves or hood yet ....BRRRRR! I lasted for 2 hours with about 8 waves (tricky to choose where I was). Just kept blowing into my hands and trying not to get them in the water till i was riding a wave. haha worked, but it wont work for long
