y'all think this south swell will show up in oxnard? or will it be blocked by the islands? i'm staying at the mouth of the harbor there at my friend's grandma's house, and i'm wondering what board i should bring
Duuuuude.... LOl, pretty ballsy posting that. Why would you do that? Why would you mention those places by name? Don't you have any friends in that area that you could call or email? Have you not heard of all the tire slashing, window waxing, and beat downs that have occured there lately from the increase in people surfing there? Locals are getting tired of visitors and I don't think they really care about the boost in the local economy from tourist dollars, lol. There is no surf there anymore anyway. Very sharky. Sharks everywhere, there. Everybody stay away. Mean sharks and meaner locals. Outsiders have never been very welcome in the nard. It's always been that way. Too small of a hood for outsiders not to be noticed.
whatevs, it went good i surfed huntington on the way there and newport on the way back... maddening crowds and expensive parking but the lineups were super mellow and the waves were punchy to boot. drastic high tides made for some backwash disturbance but all in all very good fun
