What type of paint pens and clear coats are waterproof and made for surfing? I can't get a straight answer anywhere online

Recently discussed... Krylon Crystal Clear. I prefer the matt finish.

LBCrew, you also recommend lightly sanding the board before painting?

Yes... helps remove any remaining dirt/residue and promotes a better mechanical bond. Stick to the finer grits, especially if you're doing any taping/masking... it can bleed under the tape through the scratches, especially if you use cheap tape or don't get the edge down tight. I don't go over 220.
