Since 9/11 The Bill of Rights and The Constitution have been slowly eviscerated.
Alot of you here arguing for the militarization of the police and breaking the laws that are here to protect us from the government are too young and too distracted to see what's happening.

I agree I see no need for DHS we have fbi they are more than capable imo, in the boston bombing I think it was a police chase type scenario... everyone wants to be involved..

I'm not a focking lawyer, guessing your not either. Don't know if terrorism is "domestic policies". What would you have done if you lived there during those hours, yell "RUBY RIDGE!!" and get into a gunfight with the cops? And fock yes, the Bostonians were allowed to cheer!

 

You referenced the 1975 bombings in NYC... There is a big difference between the situations. There was no surveillance video. They knew who did because FALN called the press and told them and they left a note.
If the police closed in on the the bombers, got shot at and then the bombers fled in to a residential neighborhood the police would have handled it differently.

Exactly. Why did those all talk/no action Bostonians, and boy do they ever talk..., fail to keep their streets clean? If any one of said Bostonians standing around the highly valued Americans, who either lost their lives or were severely maimed, had been observant and carrying, the two nasty terrorists could have been quickly terminated.

 

That is not an acceptable answer. Our fine, outstanding police officers cannot do it all, people. There exist very few police officers, compared to American citizens.

 

In case you were unaware, DP, American citizens have the right, guaranteed by our U.S. Constitution, to bear arms.
