Im down, dont know you guys but its always nice to meet new surf buddys. I also have a jet ski, would that get you to the area yall are talking about.
The in betweens is what we call it since they added a new jetty = 3 jetties in one spot. It does get cold and i was also there a few years ago in March, i filmed it and there were sharks every where that day too. Fishing with Hilldo would of been cool, he's a really cool dude and surfs better then most people in Texas. Shell banks are freakin great with a good front, been there and filmed it too about 3 times. You need a 4x4 to get there though. Most trips to Gorda have been a let down so make sure you pick the right day to go or you'll be sitting there wondering where you went wrong and bring everything you need with you, there isn't a store out there for miles. No need for a jet ski, the channel you have to paddle across is only about 50-100 feet wide then you have to walk a long ways to get to the break. Been there and done that too. No need for me to leave Surfside for Gorda anymore because our inside break here is bombing now!
