depends where I am and how the situation pans out. if you arent doing this, then you are letting a lot of set waves go to kooks who dont make them. Typically I just paddle around and get in position anyway if I see someone cant make the drop.

If I blow 2 waves in a row, I EXPECT others to drop in on me until I start making waves. If I know a lot of people in the lineup and I blew it, I have said 'looks like I need a time out'......Meritocracy goes both ways.

Where ever I go, I am shown a great deal of respect and friendship, because I give it to others as a function of my easy going personality. Additionally, I have been around a very long time on these shores. You, on the other hand, have done nothing else but display your fear here online. But that is o.k. I don't mind. went out sunday afternoon in Belmar,first time surfing there since I started surfing lol.first and only time I will pay to get on the beach.i never seen so many wasted peaks,the set waves came through every once in a while and guys would just pull back for no reason.probably could've even gotten tubed on the right ones.then there were little insiders everywhere.

I was trying to figure out which beach to go to afterwork,til I found out every beach near my job u have to pay.bummer.i guess il catch the dusk patrol tomorrow night,probably surf til 7-9pm.im normally not a summer surfer because we rarely have waves during summer and u have to pay to go surf with 30 other people and people wading in the water.labor day cant come soon enough

 

lol some people are more determined than me.i have a low drive.to go sit in 2 hrs of traffic on a normal half hour drive,pay to get on the beach,and with this replenishment u cant even see the water from where u pay so its a gamble,could pay,walk down the beach and see its closed out shorebreak,or u might get lucky.

im not as stoked as I once was,i hate crowds,i hate people in general,just guys,not the girls.my only dream nowadays is to paddle out on the biggest day and snake sam hammer and get the tube of the summer,then il pack up my gear and leave bayhead forever.thats how u do it,no claims,no shaking hands,get in and get out and let all the photogs snap 1000 pics and try to figure out who caught that wave.id also like to catch a bomb infront of my boss,might get me a promotion lol
