Prostitution is legal in Colombia. The article conveniently omits that lil factoid.

As long as these "jokers" do their job who gives a flying fark what they do on their own time. As long as they're not incapacitating their ability to perform their jobs by imbibing in smack or blow or juice.

Yah, they're govt drones & I'm with you on that angle. But, Americans get on their high moral horse like no other nation in the world. And Americans try to impose their hypocritical moral compass on the rest of the planet, usually with disastrous results.

The chicas in Cartagena are smokin hot. But the chicas in Medellin...whoa...you just have to experience for yourself, bunky.

so these jokers doing their job? by attending a party thrown by cartel members on their own time? I think the moral hazard makes it impossible to attend said event and 'do their jobs'

DEA is a superfluous agency, shouldn't even exist, thats the joke..... and on my dime. travesty

Impossible to fathom what is your point / joke.

DEA being superfluous? Sure. As is any other govt agency, depending upon your parameters for your critique.

If you think DEA is unique in the realm of wasting your taxpayer dollars, come on to DC, bucko - - I'll give you an insiders tour of the agencies that will make you want to burn your passport.

Hey guys, take it back just a little notch.

Yank, I kind of agree with your assessment. However: the big problem arises when an agent in a highly sensitive position compromises himself (it doesn't matter whether he committed it knowingly or unknowingly) and now becomes fodder for the Cartel. The Cartel will ask a compromised agent to do things he wouldn't normally do...and if he doesn't, the Cartel has him by the balls. Career, family, finances, LIFE. Everything, amigo.

And, who do you think is going to be the first person snitched on when a bad guy gets pinched? Yup, you guessed it. Bad guys don't normally snitch, but they will snitch on a cop without blinking. And to top it off, they use it as leverage: give up a cop, have your sentence reduced or dismissed.

Cops need a break just like everybody else, but these guys crossed a HUGE line.

And I have at least 100 "Dirty Cop" stories.

    whalerus, unlikely ya scrub

yankee, you were wondering my point
my point is this, this entity we created for mutual self defense of our collective has run amuck and we have created a 2 their system, a praetorian system where certain folks are above the law (LEO's politicos, super deep pockets)

you end up with compromised agents (drug war is a scam anyway) and the average Joe getting the shaft

and things like this, will anyone be accountable for this?

need to reevaluate how we govern ourselves, asap, our current mechanism is eating the people who created it

    Audacious!

I really dig your "I don't care" attitude, whalerus.

You seem like the type of guy I can share a few beers and disrespect woman with.

That's real rad, dude, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.
