Apparently these wild dogs....hunt and eat sharks? Little sharks. But still....they hunt sharks. I guess dogs like going after fish afterall.
That's a badazz dog right there. Little known fact: Labrador Retrievers weren't initially bred to retrieve waterfowl. They were bred to jump overboard in the north atlantic to retrieve fish that got out of nets or slipped off a hook or the boat deck. They were also used to fetch lines from one vessel to the next.
Dogs are funny with fish. You'd think they wouldn't really have any interest. I didn't know mine was crazy about fish until he was about 2 and figured out how to look down into water without thinking it's some magical forcefield of coldness (American bulldogs are not very bright). Now he won't get out of the water whenever we are up there. He will sit on a tubing tube I tie to the dock, literally for hours looking down looking for stuff that moves, jump in....miss, get pissed off, get back on the tube and start barking like chewbacca trying to figure out what went wrong. I bet the retrievers would have a field day up there. Bass and trout galore.
Goose that's very interesting, I didn't know that. Mr. Michael, that first vid you posted was crazy(trying to get outta here so I didn't have time to make this post all fancy)...but that dog straight up jump in, bit the sharks face, and swam it in???? I mean it swam better than the shark, craziness. Hey, all you fellers have a great weekend, and remember, Safety First.
that was a cool video.dogs are just crazy lol.u have to expect a dog to be a dog.anything that moves they chase.I never took my dog in the water but brought him to the beach last time I went fishing and he kept trying to bite my striper. I like all animals.i have both cats and dogs, always have.the funny thing is my cat beats the shyt out of my dog and my dog could easily eat her.people aren't afraid of cats, but they are afraid of my dog.i think my cat sees all the attention the dog gets and tries to mimick his style.when theres noise outside my cat jumps to the window and makes little noise like she trying to bark.il take my dogs favorite ball and put it right next to the kitty and hell just circle the cat til she moves.he wont get it aslong as the cats there.i don't get it.my dogs afraid of cats,im afraid of mice,my cat loves mice, elephants are afraid of mice,im afraid of elephants lol.the animal kingdom sure is weird
have an 85 lb boxer...threw a two foot stick into casco bay a few years ago...there was a heavy rain the day before so there was quite a bit of flow going on with stuff washed down the rivers...saw a 20 ft stripped tree about 6" in circumfrance floaiting about 30 yds out on one of the tosses of the 2" stick and turned to my wife as he swam out and said, "next time i'll try to confuse him and toss the stick (the 2") near the stripped down tree"...he knew what i was up to, or heard me and didn't wait...he grabbed the first, smaller stick, and then went and got the tree - at the same time...he was able to swim both into shore, unbelievable...maybe now at nearly seven that is why he has had two knee replacement surgeries and is taking meds for seizures...the dog has cost more than some cars that i have driven, but i wouldn't trade the bills or a minute of it... but my wife is allergic to cats so haven't had one in a long time...had lots of cats growing up in a city, almost 1/year. they'd "run away" or get hit by cars. coolest one ever was the one my second cousin named, "creevus" (and creevus' sister's name was, harold - my bro loved primus). both those kids watched A LOT of beevis & butthead... these days my dog flips his sh*t when he sees a cat...when he gets lucky enough to get face to face with one he just stands really taught, hair on his back up, and snorts and sniffs at the thing and has no idea what to do with it...the cat usually runs, hisses, or swipes at his face...the dog doesn't lift a paw, just stands there all like
One day back in 1989 or something, I was in Atlantic City for an NSSA contest. Contests !! Hurricane Hugo? was doing ocean motion yet it was all muffed up at States Ave. The winds, man, the winds. So, I never surfed AC back then, but I knew of a magical spot that can handle the winds. The winds, man, the winds. So the contest was cancelled, the sob's never left a message on their phone line, so I had to go and see. Couldn't miss a NSSA contest, ya know. So, I check this spot, and two white boys were out, but it was garbage, basically a confused inside section was the only thing manageable. So I said, "shine that, dude." It was early not yet 7:00 am. So I headed away from this spot and into the hood. Dudes, there were dogs everywhere. It was like Planet of the Dogs. They were hanging on the street corners(really they looked like a corner set), they were sitting on stoops, they were walking through vacant lots. There were tons of them. Lots of big good ones, too. It was surreal. There were absolutely no humans stirring - you know how "those" people are (ha ha, ah that was a good one). It was the greatest thing I have ever seen, besides of course Janelle Evans from Teen Mom 2. That's the way the world should be. Dogs.....dogs everywhere and yet not a drop to drink.
dude u should seriously watch your boxer for changes in behavior.i don't know too much about boxers or how long theyr supposed to live, but my brothers boxer recently died and she was only 7.it was really fukd up because she didn't show no signs of sickness or anything, one morning she didn't eat and when my brother got home she was dead.she was a good dog too,got everything she wanted, lived in a big house.idk I always thought they should live til atleast 10.my last dog died at 12 he was a shepherd.its really heartbreaking to have your dog die on u with no signs of distress or anything.just keep an eye on him or her
we are definitely very sensitive to his behavior now...and now that you mention it, my wife said he was kinda out of sorts last week until i got back from a session...he was able to perk up though and then seemed fine, we thought it might have been another cluster coming on which would have been scary because he up to double the dose of pheno that he started on in Sept already. he's a big boy, and since the knees we kind of have had an idea that it could be anytime, then add the seizures, and well, the sand is running out. too bad, i know it's cliche, but best dog in the world. has never run more than 25 yds away from any of us, and always has to keep us in eye sight. very loyal, and not sure what i did to deserve it. the hardest part when it does happen though will be trying to explain it to his best buddy, my 2 year old son - the two are inseparable. thanks for the heads up though, 'ppreciate it!
Welcome Home! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Jb8qMM-bXs We have three dogs, and it gets a little noisy and crazy for a bit when I walk in the door after work. But it's nothing like the greetings these returning vets receive.
FYI - If any of you live in the 9th to 16th st. area of VB oceanfront beware there is someone in the area that has been poisoning animals (only cats so far) with antifreeze. Awesome vid DosXX!! Those reunion videos always leave me misty.
Listen, dogs go after sharks. There's a reason why. Dogs are the toothy creatures, and pride themselves in their biting exploits. So, ain't no dog out there who likes sharks and the attention sharks get for doing some biting. Sharks are chumps in the eyes of dogs because they bite people on the stealthy, sneaky tip. Dogs come right at you in plain sight and go, " Hey man, I'm going to bite you." Ya know what it is that I be sayin' ? Dogs are the best people in the world. Love them guys.
I always treated my dogs like people, but not people because I hate people, more like family.i feed my dog on a fork when im done eating chicken or cow or pig.my doggies loves the cows.my dog has incredible drive,he will bring u a toy to play tug of war and he doesn't back down for shyt.when u have a toy he will rip u off ur seat.my last shepherd I had used to attack shopping carts.he would drag a shopping cart 3o feet and eventally after swinging it so much it gets airborne for a second.i wouldn't want to get bit by a dog,my dog looks pretty vicious but hes a big baby.the only other animals I couldn't find on the market that I want is a baby alligator and a nice boa constrictor.my buddy from work boa is like 12feet long.and a alligator that lives in the tub to chase away any intruders that make it past my dog.
Word, so much more. Every now and again me and my guy go to my Mom's for breakfast on the weekend...he gets eggs too. But it's like I don't even have to say it, he knows and just waits by the gate while I get ready. Will NOT budge to come inside. Just one example of direct nonverbal communication.
