http://www.theblaze.com/stories/201...es-shadowy-figure-in-the-water-alongside-him/ I don't know if The Blaze is a surf friendly media or not but it was kinda entertaining reading the comments below the story of the creature caught in Kelly Slater's tube footage. Evidently, all surfers eat lobster bought with food stamps.... I thought I was the only one.
that's because there was a recent story floating around about a CA surfer who pretty much lived on welfare. I liked this response:
I would have thought you would like a lot of the libertarian slant there//I look at it and ignore the religious propaganda.
Okay, let me change the subject back to the article... Did anyone watch that video in HD? They took the two worst possible still shots that were blurry. Many a dolphin i have seen, that is a freaking shark. From the fins, to the white patterns all over it, so the length and shape of the body as it moves.... To have them say, that was definitely a dolphin to me is crazy. And to have kelly agree? He didnt see it when it happened, but i dont know how he could watch that footage and think it wasnt a shark... wishful thinking maybe? And yes, there were dolphins there a few minutes before hand. So what? What does that have to do with the price of tea in china. That was a damn shark mates.
Nah, pay attention at the beginning. It's the surfer/cameraman that was in front of the wave that's visible as KS passes him. Unless a huge great white swallowed the person whole and the Australian Surf Mafia is keeping it hushed up.
He really does thrive off of scaring people. I used to listen to a lot of talk radio because Charleston's radio really isn't that good. I stopped listening to him because the world was constantly ending according to him. I like the blaze because there isn't any celebrity drama. Has there always been such a slant either right or left in the past? I'm 31 and it seems like every single story on the news has a political slant one way or another based on what channel you're getting your information from.
I think it's the guy down the line just as he pulls in. If you watch, it lines up exactly where he would pass him. Water is like a magnifying glass, what looks like 2 feet away could be 6 or more in that clear water. I remember falling over staghorn in the carribean. Looked like 2 feet down when I grabbed my board I could barely touch the coral with the tips of my toes and I'm 6'1"
Looked like a dolphin to me. It's kind of tough to say for sure, but I think that thing was moving like a dolphin. Either way, Slater said once that he'd be honored to be killed by a shark, so he don't care.
I think it might be shark? really hard to tell Also, the wild oscillations between right and left will continue until it falls off its wheels I have read some stories on the Blaze but generally it makes me cringe, especially the comments zerohedge is really good for financial news, they dont seem slanted R or L, but they have a viewpoint for sure Also Dailybell.com has great analysis.
I'm surprised that you wrote that. The look on you and your brother's faces tell me you're his demographic.
that shark was stoked he got a selfie with Kelly slater.yea u can tell, definitly not a person, doesnt look like a dolphin.aus has the most sharks so,id say it was a shark
The perception of surfers in the VB area seems to be mixed. WRV stickers are ubiquitous (widespread) here; but from all the City's "anti-surfing" rules, regs, and penalties that go into effect on Memorial Day (thru Labor Day), you'd think surfers are looked upon as nuisances - like skateboard punks in front of the Food Lion. But if money can be made by using/advertising surfing as a tourist draw or extorting more money in the way of greatly increased fees from surfing event organizers, so much the better.
