I was looking at getting a custom board done, i live in SC and a couple guys i was talking to said to go see to Kelly Richards at Perfection, any thoughts or advice?
Wow, that guy is still around? Had my first custom circa '94 shaped by him. It got destroyed the first time I took it out but that's another story...Been there and back since then and surfed a lot of different boards. Second to none shaper, good guy from what I remember, and knows his craft. Would give it a go if I were you.
Good choice. My first board was a 7'10 perfection funshape with a pin tail. Its now 21 years old. Recently had it reglassed by Steve Muhic in Chincoteague. I plan to go back and have Perfection make an identical board. Got my first tube ride on it and does everything. I'm a big guy. Have fun!!!!!!!
