    Was it deep fried or BBQ or kebobed. Just curious. Taste any good. My buddy married a gal from Lima, he's been down a few times. Avoid the fake taxi cabs in Lima - no bueno! I forget how you tell the difference, but ask a trusted local what the deal is. You get in the wrong cab you lose a kidney. Don't leave your drink unattended they like to dose gringos.

    He said Pico Alto was 30 feet and too big for him, looks small from the beach, but there are crosses there marking lost lives.

    Other than that, sounds like a blast, great people, great waves, great culture. Great tread - stay safe!

    I agree with sisurddogg- you gotta be careful in Lima and all places like that.

    I almost got tricked into one of those kidney taxis. Just a disclaimer, this was back in my drinking days...

    So when you walk out of a bar- a few of the taxi guys will surround you and circle you and start talking in language you don't understand. Then thy will show you postcards and ads for half naked women or something - trying to lure you into the car... just get away from them lol. Happen to me- I tried to walk away from them and they kept following me. I spotted a police officer ok the corner and he could tell what was happening and gave me a signal to come stand by him. Then they left. He started talking to me in some language I didn't understand. So I just showed him my card for the hotel I was staying. He gets on his motorcycle / dirt bike and motions me to get on back... so there in was- cruising Lima - hopping city curbs- running red lights- driving on sidewalks -on the back of a police dirt bike... lol I was really thankful for that guy helping me out... quite an experience

    sup homies. did the whole machu picchu thing with the lady and that was pretty sweet. Went back down to punta hermosa and my chick was cool enough to let me score 4 to six hours a day in the water with a solid south swell producing waves about double overhead in size on the last day. Pico alto was 5 meters (25 feet) when I was surfing the isla on a 6'0 and wishing I had a 7 foot semi gun. 5 guys out, like always size thins the herd unless your in Hawaii.

    My buddy snapped this picture today of chicama, kinda pissed I missed this swell up there (I have to take my lady to the airport in Lima tomorrow) but the good news is that theres forcasted to be a bigger more south swell next week that might make it even better if im lucky. Once my lady leaves tomorrow im on full surf bum mode. Got a solid case of the Peruvian death sickness yesterday, slept it off for 14 hours and spent the day on my buddys beach house terrace drinking champagne and watching the isla to warde it off and it seems to have worked so far. (Whats a good third world surf trip without a case of doom sickness right?) Defitly an added challenge to surf 8 to 10 foot freight train faces when your heads swimming, your arms feel like mush ,and you wanna puke your guts out. Feel almost 100% today though ,must be one of those weird 24 hour things. most likely from the rain weve been getting in the lima region (super rare for this time of year and washing gunk down the rivers) or from the super strong uv rays from the sun after being in the cloudy cusco for a week.

    fvck dude, we just got 2 inches of snow in the last 2 hours...and looking at more for tomorrow morning. It's March for fvck's sake.

    Went surfing yesterday at the Harbor. You haven't missed anything for about a month now.

    sup homies surfing three a days in punta hermosa. super fun cant leave. dont leave waves to find them and all that. got lots of wax rashes and boardshort chafe herpes on the inner thighs. finally scoring bud, just in time for my to gfet my acceptance lettetr for this fire season. ome more month before i must steralize my pee for uncle sam , but at least i can spend all the rest of my money now. looks like swells might shape up soon and ill head north
