Surfline (lol) is pushing forward an opinion that we may be experiencing conditions which will bring about another El Nino year after this La Nina thing winds down.

    http://www.surfline.com/surf-news/l...n-neutral-is-el-nino-about-to-rev-bac_146131/

The part of the story that really got my attention was that they were pointing out that the current rain deluge conditions in Peru is usually a strong indicator of a pending El Nino pattern. Even all the Peruvians seem to agree.

Hope Trev is getting some goodness right now, without the Effluvia Stew.

Consistent electricity was never a certainty when I was there during normal weather patterns, so perhaps no connectivity. Waiting on the update and hoping he's SCORING

Come on dudes, give him a break. Who the hell has time to check the internet when in Peru? Only us East Coasters from North America have time for this place!

If I was in Peru right now, I might forget what the interwebz be. I might have to take a little trip there myself or somewhere like it in about 3 or 4 weeks.

Hopefully it's going well, and nothing like that scene from "Apocalypto" where that one warrior couldn't get his wife pregnant.

been in chicama about a week. first night all hell broke loose

im talking holy s h it this bitcxh is going down like the titanic flood rain filling up la hombre from the first floor up to the second

knew the deluge would happen had that vibe looking at sky that morning in huanchaco and figured id rather get trapped in chicama

spent that first night helping doris the owner and daughter of the original el hombre sweep water out and bail the spot out with buckets from midnight till dawn with the help of some Australians and a chick from jersey who didnt do much besides say " this is literally the most water i have ever seen, literally" over and over

next day some houses down the road were completely gone due to mudslides. heavy no idea what the cost of life was. no one seems to care.

greeted at dawn by headhigh swell that developed into pumping classic chicama for a few days.
