Tiny, Mr Admin? LOL. Pleez
Wait a gosh darned second. ZGaff, you A-Hole. I was looking at old footage thinking it was a free surf prior to the contest. Dang you!
Believe you missed the word relatively... It is tiny relatively right now
According to the surfline cam report.
***Billabong Pipe Masters in memory of Andy Irons is OFF today (12/18)***
i get the concept, smart-guy. i was watching the embedded youtube video someone posted, and it was pumping. no way it was live b/c buoys on N Shore are like 5ft at 10 sec.
The guy on the morning show just said
"Man....these lay days.....I feel like parents eagerly awaiting delivery of a baby!!"
They're not running today IMO... waves are tiny in the back of the show... wait for this call... Kiereinein is going to say "unfortunately...we're going to run tomorrow"
want see action/drama/carnage/bikinis.
On hold until 1145 HST then they will reassess.
Said they "really want to see heats today"
It was tiny out there but anyone who has ever surfed a reef on a tiny island in the middle of the sea knows that those breaks can pick up super quickly. I can think of a couple times in PR and Indo where I paddled out and it was chest high or something and by the end of the session it was bordering on DOH and getting serious. I think they run it this afternoon as I don't think they are gonna chance it to Sunday and they wanna see the end of the contest happen in banging surf tomorrow. We'll see. I'm rooting for Mitchell Coleburn since I have no idea who he is.
Waiting on the swell....
lets go dusty
New swell should be showing pretty decent by the end of the day, but not sure its going to get there quick enough for Round 3 to start. Hopefully it does.
tough call everyone's been going nuts about medina, lets see how he handles the pressure
1st, I don't really know who's who in the contest world, except for fellow fossil Kelly Slater. Each season, don't y'all try to hit up a variety of wave sizes so each surfer gets a chance to excel in their best size wave? Some guys do better in the smaller stuff, doin aerial twirlies and sh**, right? Others are at their best when it's freakin Gi-normous, and it takes a few seconds just to get down to your bottom turn. Pipe is 'posed ta be THAT place. Kinda sucks that the big wave folks won't get that chance, it appears. Pipe ain't for twirlies on 5 foot surf. I mean, that's cute and all, but this is Pipeline, dangit! It's for goin so fast that the nose of your board is tap tap tappin across the water cause you're almost hydroplaning, in a barrel you could put a house in.
Am I just hopelessly old, or does anyone else feel this way?
Hoping for some real swell,
Paulie in Galveston
Preach! If it's small enough for you to do anything besides hold on for dear life, then the contest shouldn't happen.
Wasn't there a time that IBC was claiming to not be Paulie?
Hey Clemson. I cleared the air on that one a while back. Got tired of being mistaken for SJB, and his ghosts. Now I realize it was a big compliment, and laugh it off. Wish SJB would come back. Metard too.
I think Emass may still think I'm Mr. Bill. No biggie.
only thing good about them calling off the pipe masters for the day is that they leave the live feed up so we can watch surf. yaye!!
