so, I am liking how my board (...Lost RNF) is working at the moment, but I always feel like I could tweak the fins more and perfect things. I have MR FCS twins on either side with a K 2.1 center fin in the center (maybe too much drag?). I was wondering if buying that nubster fin would serve any purpose at all with the MRs on either side. Or, maybe get two nubsters and use them as mini-quad center fins? I dunno man, I get confused when it comes to fins. To date, what I have enjoyed best on my go-to board (Firewire Dominator) are the K 2.1 fins (thruster), and Stretch Quads. Any suggestions?
basically what you're running is the MR twins w/ a M-3 center...that's a LOT of fin area for that board. did your MR fins come w/ the little center fin? if so, try that w/ the MR's first. it's a GX & i'd try that over the nubster first...if you don't have one, most shops should sell them individually.
no center came with the MRs. i had to improvise. this board is a craigslist special...a great find. it's whatever the center fin is in the K 2.1 set. it's a smaller than an average center fin, for sure. but, it may be too much drag. now i remember the GX...I had one on an old fish i liked and sold it with the board. thanks, i'll look it up.
yea, the K2.1 center fin is a M-3 center fin w/ different graphics. but in combo w/ those big MR fins, it's a bit much. good luck.
