based in san diego...great boards, great guys behind the operation. a friend of mine got one back in 2005 when he was living out there. kept it when he moved back & rode it to it's death.
i'm sure zach can fill you in on further details that the website leaves unanswered. post pics!

I know joe and george, the owners and shapers for plus one.. They are the local industry standard from OB in San Diego... I personally have 5 plus ones in my quiver now, and have owned about 20 in my lifetime... They are my goto shortboards. Always.

They are the best high performance shortboards on the west coast in my opinion. Their team riders are young, but insane. They are doing sh** that people can't even define...

My custom shaper did glass work for them for years, and shaped out of their Point Loma warehouse. They just got a nice facility over off sports arena....

Plus ones are some of the best for sure.

team rider Austin Ware refers to plus one boards as "Magic Carpets"...

I am riding a plus one in my avatar. I have some other photos of me riding some various plus ones, I can post a few when I get home from work later.

You fu**ing scored! When I first moved here years ago, OB surfshop housed all the plus one team riders, and after they ride boards a few times in competition, they put them up on the used racks for re-sale. I used to buy nothing but hand me down team rider boards when I was young and broke. And they are amazing for sure.

So, if you got one for $80 bucks and its in good condition, you easily just got a $250 board. easy.

The new ones off the rack are like 550+

My only recomendation is to be careful with the glass. Newer (2007+)plus ones are more durable, but the older models only had one thing in mind, taking flight off the lip, so they typically have thin layering.

Last time I was in Malibus in OC MD, they had Plus Ones on the rack. I was talking to the shop owner about it. I think about 10 years ago, the great Vince B was one of the Plus One team riders on the east coast. I think he may have gone to surf prescription or something after that... But he was a plus one guy for some years (If i remember correctly)...

So next time you are down in OC you should pop in to malibus and check out some of the plus ones there if they still carry them.

zach, i would be lying if i said that shot didn't make me hate you just a little bit...not boots, gloves, or hood, a nice, fun looking shoulder/chest high wave, sunny...if there weren't already untold millions of people living & surfing southern california, i would've moved there years ago.
