Did the Lewes Polar Bear Plunge over the weekend, did the police hire a SUP?

We need summer rent-a-cops patrolling the line ups from June-September. That would be the cherry on top of the summer ice cream we already get.

"Does that thing have a leash? No? I'm going write you a summons ($65). Sorry, my Sargent could be watching".

Around here, I honestly wouldn't be surprised.

Ha! I was thinking about it, after reading your post. And was actually in the area (kinda) over the weekend. But then I forgot to sign up before the 21st to get a shirt...plus superbowel, plus was still 1:45 away from Rehoboth. Next year.

    How'd it go?

This was my 14th year, it was a good day! Ocean calm, air temp decent, good time.

Armed with a camera, a beach rules enforcer on a SUP could hand out numerous infractions, civil and criminal, for drop ins, fades, and the ensuing threats and acts of violence that occur at a crowded spot on, lets say, a holiday weekend. If that ever happens around here, I will move. Life is too short to deal with floating turds in the lineup on a continual basis.
