Although swell quality will be very poor...might want to check Buxton, Nc. I see it struggling with the SSW-SW swell...I even think Rodanthe forecast is picking up on this better. Possible fix is to add a E component (ESE to even SE) to the beach face direction. (but its possible its a glitch)

BUXTON, NC (AS of Forecast updated: Jul 9, 2007 3:51 PM ET)

    E
    BEACH FACING DIRECTION

    Tuesday
Surf: Knee high SSW short period wind swell in the morning builds in the afternoon with occasional sets up to waist high.
Conditions: Sideshore texture/chop with SSW winds 10-15kt in the morning increasing to 15-20kt in the afternoon.

    Wednesday
Surf: Ankle to knee high SE medium period swell.
Conditions: Semi clean/textured in the morning with SW winds 15-20kt. Choppy/sideshore current conditions for the afternoon with the winds shifting SSW 20-25 kt.

    Thursday
Surf: Ankle to knee high SE medium period swell.
Conditions: Semi clean/textured in the morning with SW winds 15-20kt. Choppy/sideshore current conditions for the afternoon with the winds shifting SSW 20-25 kt.

By clicking on view summary it shows at 8AM Tues a 4.3 ft SSW swell @ 6sec then to 2AM Wed a 5.9ft @ 7 sec then losing the windswell altogether after that...

just an observation...swellinfo is one the best out there!

    hey eastsidesponge,

I've made some adjustments for the buxton forecast, so this should be looking good now.

Thanks for notifying me about this. I've actually been aware for a while that buxton was getting too cut off from the SSW swells. I've been meaning to tweak this for a while now.

I think the current forecast looks pretty good right now, but if you notice anything else, please let me know - thanks!
